DÉTENTE: Three Complete Live Shows Posted Online

January 13, 2011

California metallers DÉTENTE — whose most recent lineup featured original members Dennis Butler (drums),Caleb Quinn (guitar) and Steve Hochheiser (bass) alongside new vocalist Tiina Teal — have posted three complete live performance on their official YouTube channel:

* The 1986 DÉTENTE Country Club show in Reseda, California featuring vocalist Dawn Crosby and the original "Recognize No Authority" lineup.
* The DÉTENTE reunion show at Germany's Headbangers Open Air festival in 2008 featuring vocalist Ann Boleyn.
* The DÉTENTE concert at The Rambler in Eindhoven, Holland on the 2010 "Decline" tour featuring vocalist Tiina Teal

DÉTENTE last month announced that it was disbanding due to the fact that the group's individual members have "daily responsibilities and the logistics of keeping DÉTENTE moving is no longer possible," according to a statement released by the band. DÉTENTE added, "While it is conceivable that we could get together for a festival in the future, we believe it is time to call it a day."

DÉTENTE's latest album, "Decline", was released in June 2010 in the U.S. via the band's own Cognitive label with MVD Audio distribution. The CD was recorded with engineer Bill Metoyer, who has previously worked with SLAYER, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, D.R.I. and SACRED REICH, among others.
